Aurora: Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy

  We all remind very fondly Raggedy Ann and Andy and the wonderful stories with Beloved Belindy, Knobby Knee Camel and so may others.  Aurora has faithfully recreated at least two of our beloved characters.  So check out the newest merchandise, and as always Keillor's Teddy Bear Shoppe is here to fill our needs for a "forever" friend.  So call, email or drop in for a visit.

More August Steiff Arrivals

Steiff.  Ginny Cat, light tan plush with airbrushed striping throughout, satin red ribbon, hand embroidered nose.  Ginny measures 5 inches long and 3inches high, 47 % mohair, 53% cotton.  Ginny comes with a wicker basket that measures 3 inches high, 5.5 inches long and 4 inches across.  The basket comes with a red velvet cushion for Ginny to sit on. Ginny is priced at $120.00 plus tax.  A great gift for any cat lover. The Wizard of Oz featuring Judy Garland turned 75 years old just a few days ago.  Steiff has had an incredible run of Oz bears: Dorothy, itty bitty Dorothy, Toto with basket, Cowardly Lion and Wicked Witch of the West.

  The next phenomenal bear in the set is Scarecrow. This highly collectible bear is one of the best Oz collectibles around, and this is based solely on the quality of the workmanship of this piece.  40% Mohair and 60% cotton plush, which on closer inspections looks "straw-like"

.  His jacket is green "linen" like with fiber straw sewn on the cuff.  The jacket has a rope belt.  The ruff around his neck is linen with more of the fiber straw sewn on it.  Around his neck is tied more of the rope.  His pants are brown "cotton-linen" with airbrushed patches and more of the fiber straw sewn on the cuffs.  Scarecrow's hat is brown wool felt with a green rope tied around it as a hat band.  The bear we have in store is number 229 of 1939; measures 13 inches long and sells for $275.00 plus tax.

Steiff.  This is Chris.  57% mohair, 43% cotton plush fur that is mainly white with grey highlighting on his muzzle, forehead, and belly. Wool felt paw pads, five joints, hand embroidered nose.  Photographs really don't do this adorable justice.  Measuring 12 inches and sells for $235.00 plus tax.

September Charlie Bear Arrivals

Charlie Bears.  This is Roxie, designed by Isabelle Lee.  Dark Chocolate colored plush, red, white, crème highlighting, filament whiskers, hand embroidered nose, five joints, hemp style necklace with six beads.  Roxie measures 17 inches long with an 11.5 inch tail.  Roxie is priced at $88.00 plus tax.  SOLD

 

Charlie Bears.  This is Gooseberry, designed by Isabelle Lee.  Plush fur is colored: light green, medium greed, and brown undertones, tan ultra-suede paw pads, hand embroidered nose, five joints, a satin ribbon necklace with a button and bell at the end of it.  Gooseberry measures 13 inches long and sells for $65.00 plus tax.  SOLD









Charlie Bears.  This is Barry. a light crème colored plush, with rust/caramel colored undertones.  Hand embroidered nose, ulta-suede paw pads that have sculpted toes and paw pads.  He wears hemp style necklace with seven brass bells.  He has an open mouth sculpt that has flesh colored felt on the inside, that is also highlighted.  Barry measures 21 inches long and, is priced at $120.00 plus tax.










Charlie Bears.  This is Lennon.   Light pistachio green plush fur with a dark brown spotting with traces of caramel coloring, hand embroidered nose, five joints, a hemp style necklace with two buttons and a brass skeleton keys.  Lennon measures 18 inches long and is priced at $79.00 plus tax.















Charlie Bears.  This is Lexie, designed by Isabelle Lee.  The plush fur is a "leopard" style print with a light grey background, hand embroidered nose, ultra-suede paw pads, a hemp style necklace with two buttons and a brass skeleton key.  Lexie measures 16.5 inches long, with a reddish fur ruff around the neck.  Priced at $79.00 plus tax.

Charlie Bears.  This is Hubble.  Hubble is a limited edition of 3000 bears.  We have piece 2277 and 2287, hand embroidered nose, five joints, ultra-suede paw pads which are sculpted.  The plush is an overall rusty caramel color with black highlighting throughout. Fours bells on a leather-ette collar.  Hubble stands 17.5 inches tall and priced at $119.00.

Charlie Bears.  This is Mr. Twitcher, designed by Isabelle Lee.  Mr. Twitcher's plush is  a leopard-ish style with dark brown, Hershey brown, grey tips with a green undertone.  The coloring could classify Mr. Twitcher as a modern grizzly bear.

 Ultra-suede paw pads, hand embroidered nose, five joints, a "leatherette" collar with seven black bells.  Mr. Twitcher measures 20 inches long and is priced at $97.00 plus tax.

Charlie Bears.  This is Chapman, which Isabelle Lee.  Five joints, ultra-suede paw pads which are sculpted and highlighted in a burgundy color.   Chapman has an open mouth, the material is felt which is bushed on the inside.  Chapman wears a collar with 6 small brass bells, and one large brass bell.  Chapman is priced at  $114.00 plus tax.

Charlie Bears, Horatio.  5 joints, hand embroidered nose, 5 bells on a "shoelace" necklace, which has gold trim throughout.  The fur at the neck is a longer pile then the rest of the bear --- its coloring is light grey, grey and white, the same fur is on the inside of the ears.  Black ultra-suede paw pads.  Horatio measures 15.5 inches long and is priced at $97.00 plus tax.

New August Steiff Arrivals

I should apologize for not blogging about new merchandise that has come in since July.  There is a very good reason for it though. Keillor's A Teddy Bear Shoppe has gotten a new, state of the art point of sale machine.  However, for this register to work all of the current merchandise needs to be in the register.  If you've been in the store recently who can imagine the incredible under taking that requires.  I'm close to finishing the "inventory" and decided that I needed to get back to "blogging" about my newest arrivals.  The lapse of time here is to better serve you, my cherished customers.  So lets get talking about what I do best ---- teddy bears! ~~~ Linda

 

Steiff has created a Masterpiece Collection bear, named Bearry. Bearry's "plush" is 64% Alpaca and 35% Cotton.  His stuffing is Polyester and Steel Pellets.  The "plush" is a medium grey color with a darker grey tipping throughout.  He has a hand embroidered nose, trimmed muzzle, and a neck that is double jointed with a full range of poses that are possible.  He can easily stand on all fours or sit up in a playful pose.  Bearry is six jointed bear and measuring 17 inches long and full 12 inches tall, when standing.  He is priced at $298.00 plus tax.  SOLD









Steiff has created another Masterpiece Collection with Hannes.  Hannes "plush" is 57% alpaca and 43% Cotton.  His stuffing is 100% polyester. He has a hand embroidered nose, with airbrushed "whisker spots", and an open mouth with an ultra-suede tongue.  His collar is a "vinyl" backed tiger spotted plush fur. Hannes stands15.5 inches tall and 18.5 inches long.  Hannes is priced at $250.00 plus tax.  He would be a great addition to any collection.

 The Wizard of Oz turns 75 years old this week.  Steiff, as many of you has done some amazing pieces this year alone.  This delightful 6.5 inch Dorothy is from last year, but here at Keillor's I offer you one more chance to get her if you missed out on her before.

Dorothy is 47% Mohair and 53% Cotton.  She has four joints, a hand embroidered nose, a blue and white gingham dress complete with itty bitty buttons.  The dress is non-removable.  She wears the iconic Ruby Slippers which are made from a glittered felt.  Dorothy is priced at $149.00 plus tax  SOLD

 Steiff has been known for their love of giraffes; this is their newest giraffe Greta.  Greta is 53 % mohair, 47% Cotton.  Airbrushed markings, which include nostrils, mouth and "cheek blushing".  Felt ears and horns.  Self standing, Greta stands 8.75 inches tall.  Greta is priced at $79.00 plus tax.

Classic Teddy Bear Honey Five joints, 53% Mohair, 47% cotton, hand embroidered nose, felt paw pads, pearl cotton necklace with a metal heart charm.  The one that is currently in store is SOLD, but you can always place an order for one.  Measuring 15 cm or 6 inches tall, and sells for $99.00 plus tax.

 What a glorious bear!  Steiff has created a bear that rivals any other bear.  Jonathon Macbear is that glorious bear.57% Mohair, 43 % cotton, hand embroidered nose, the paw pads are a "native" motif of reds, greys, and whites.  Jonathon wears an "Oliver Twist" style tweed hat .  This particular bear that is in shop is SOLD; but you can always place an order for yours.  This is the bear to have.  He stands 45cm or 18 inches tall, and is priced at $310.00 plus tax.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  In celebration of  Christmas television special Steiff memorializes the stop motion animation, which was done by Rankin/Bass.  The cartoon first aired Sunday, December 6, 1964 on NBC. 

53% Mohair, 47 % Cotton, machine embroidered eyes, felt nose, red satin ribbon and a 50th Anniversary Porcelain medallion, airbrushed hoofs, felt antlers.  Rudolph stands permanently on a wooden base.  Measuring 8.5 inches long and 9.5 inches tall.  Rudolph is priced at $198.00 plus tax

Dramatic and eye-catching, Black Onyx teddy bear. This semi-precious stone is the inspiration for the next edition in the Steiff series of gem-themed bears. Onyx Teddy bear is sewn from opulent black 51% Silk and 49% Cotton.

 Her "button in the ear" is also Swarovski. Her paw pads are encrusted with black and silver Swarovski  Elements.  Around her neck she wears a necklace with a glistening black pendant, also from Swarovski Elements.

Onyx features claws sewn in sparkling silver Lurex yarn. Limited to 2000 this bear is 917.  Measuring 9 inches tall and has five joints She is a portrait of elegance that will bring an air of distinction to every collection.  Onyx is prices at $315.00 plus tax
