New York City and Connecticut maybe getting snow, but ours for now has vanished.  Boston may have had a record year in snowfall and as Ohioans' we had more that our share of it.   Daffodils maybe slowly pushing their way out of the ground, and I have spotted the first robin already; but how do I know that Spring is truly here?  It isn't any of the things I have mentioned.  It is......

This year is an extremely exciting one as it is the  135th Steiff' Anniversary of Margarete Steiff sewing the first little elephant!  Intended as a pincushion that little elephant built an empire!  Pictured above is the 135th Year Jubilee Teddy Bear (which can be ordered today!) and will more than likely be on display the day of the event.

March's Newest Arrivals: Charlie Bears

 Charlie Bears: Minimo Collection -- Doobey.  Limited Edition 2,000 pieces.  This piece is #615.  Designed by Isabelle Lee.  This sweet little bear is 100% Mohair, five joints, hand embroidered nose, glass eyes, Ultra-suede joints.  Sparse mohair is russet/burgundy in color. Necklace is a cloth strip remnant with two teeny-tiny round beads and a metallic jingle bell.  Doobey measures 6 inches long, is slighted weighted and sells for $124.00 plus tax.

Charlie Bears: Minimo Collection -- Teeny.  Limited Edition 2,000 pieces.  This piece is #615.  Designed by Isabelle Lee.  This sweet little bear is 100% Mohair, five joints, hand embroidered nose, glass eyes, Ultra-suede joints.  Sparse mohair is a pale pink, pale blue and pale yellow/gold in color. Designed by Isabelle Lee .  Limited to 4,000 pieces.  90% Plush and 10% Mohair fur, that is grey in color with black highlighting throughout.  His plush is on the longer side which gives him a fluffier look.  Embroidered nose, five joints, ultra-suede paw pads, trimmed muzzle.  Hard Plastic hang tag, Filling: Polyester fiber and Polypropylene pellets.  

Trimmed with a dark chocolate, gossamer bow. The year bear measures 16 inches long and sells for $95.00 plus tax.  This would be THE bear to buy from Charlie Bears this year, as I believe in time he may be hard to find.

Charlie Bears.  CB151518.  This is Kirk.  Designed by Isabelle Lee.  100% Acrylic plush fur that is a beautiful mix of black and grey, while the fibers of the fur are a bit longer that makes him look really fluffy.  Embroidered nose, white highlights on the eyes, ultra-suede paw pads while the feet are flat and feels like wood on the inside of the bear which makes

Kirk stand on his own. He wears a shoelace necklace and a brass skeleton key on the end.  Kirk measures 16 inches long and sells for $85.00 plus tax.

CB151535.  This is Tallulah.  Designed by Isabelle Lee.  100% Acrylic plush fur that is a gorgeous mix of light grey, dark grey and black with the plush fibers being longer than normal giving her a real fluffy look.  Embroidered nose, five joints, trimmed muzzle, and ultra-suede paw pads.   She wears a grey shoelace necklace that sports a black button that is trimmed in white.

Designed by Isabelle Lee.  100% Acrylic Plush fur that is a mix of white, eggshell, crème and a light chestnut color.  Embroidered nose, filament whiskers, ultra-sued paw pads, five joints and a milk chocolate colored inner ear.  Cavey wears a twine necklace that is highlighted in spring-pea and rust colors.  Cavey measures 12.5 inches long and sells for $70.00 plush tax.

The Bearington  Collection.  This is Q.T. Pie --- clever name huh?  Carmel colored 100% Polyester plush fur, a lighter Carmel colored paw pads with stitched "claws", embroidered nose, five joints.  Q.T. wears a red poly/velour bib overalls that have elastic in the back.  Two white button on the front, a bib pocket with a machine embroidered white heart.  He wears a cotton red and white striped shirt and in his hands he holds a white and pink felt banner that spells out CUTIE.  The banner is attached to his paws with red grosgrain ribbon.  Q.T measures 14 inches tall and sells for $28.95 plus tax.

The Bearington Collection.  This is Adora.  Adora has a Cinnamon colored 100% Polyester Plush fur, embroidered nose, five joints, a "poly/velour-like" paw pads.  She wears a red "poly/velour-like" dress, which has two white heart shaped plastic buttons and has a Velcro closure in the back of the dress.  On the top of Adora's head is a "Satin" ribbon embossed with red and pink glitter hearts, the edge of the ribbon is trimmed with red glittery thread.  Bow is sewn to her head, and is therefore permanent.  She holds in her a banner of four white and pink felt triangles that spell out LOVE --- which is embroidered.  The banner is attached to her hands with a red grosgrain ribbon, banner is sewn permanently to her.  Adora measures 14 inches long and sells for $28.95 plus tax.

The Bearington Collection.  This is Love Bug.  Carmel colored 100% Polyester plush fur, a lighter Carmel colored paw pads with stitched "claws", embroidered nose.  Main body is a red plush fur with black dots, which make up the lady bug body.  The same plush makes up the "wings" on the back of the bear which measures 5inches by 5 inches.  Five joints.  The black headpiece is removable and has a Velcro closure, the head piece has rope antenna with hearts on the end.  He holds a red plush heart that has machine embroidered "LOVE BUG" on it.  Measures 11 inches long and sells for $14.95 plus tax

The Bearington Collection.  This is Carson Nova.  Carmel colored 100% Polyester plush fur, a lighter Carmel colored paw pads with stitched "claws", embroidered nose, five joints.  Black Cotton bowtie and boxers that are adorned with tiny red hearts, and has an elastic waistband.  He holds a red Satin heart that has embroidered in white LOVER BOY.  The heart is sewn to his paw pads. Carson measures 14 inches long and sells for $24.95 plus tax.

The Bearington Collection.  This is Rascal.  100% white polyester plush fur, white poly/velour paw pads that have stitched claws, embroidered, five joints and wears a red-orange bow.  Rascal measures 15.5 inches long and sells for $21.95 plus tax.

Gotta Getta Gund.  This is called Sarabelle.  100% Cotton, embroidered face, satin bow and ballet slippers, a pink floral Cotton dress with lace trimming at the neck and hem, weighted bottom so she sits upright.  Measures 17 inches tall and sells for $22.95 plus tax.
















Steiff.  100% Polyester.  This piece is called Mr. Cupcake.  Brown, white and Polka dot colored plush outer "cupcake shell", zipper so the cupcake opens same as the egg pictured below.  Inner cupcake is 100% Yellow Polka Dot Cotton material. The cupcake measures about 8.5 inches long and about 6.5 wide.  The rabbit that is nesteled inside the egg is removable and is made out of a sand colored plush, has a white "muzzle" that has blushed cheeks and an embroidered mouth, a black plush nose, white foot pads, and white inner ears that are also blush, a white plush bunny tail.  Bunny measures 9 inches long, with ears measures 12 inches.  Sells for $76.00 plus tax

This is Benjamin Bunny.  A cinnamon colored Polyester plush fur,  machine embroidered eyes, mouth and nose, and on the left foot a dark chocolate colored circle with a  tan colored "turnip" looking shape in the inside circle.  "Velour" like lush inner ears, Dark Chocolate Polyester which is sewn on.  Benjamin wears a knit green winter style with a yarn pompom.  Hat is sewn on.  Benjamin measures 12 inches long and sells for $35.95 plus tax.

Gund. Nickelodeon. From the T.V. show Peter Rabbit.  This is Lily Bobtail. Grey Polyester Plush fur, machine embroidered eyes, mouth and nose, and on the left foot a dark grey circle  with a light grey "turnip" looking shape in the inside circle.  "Velour" like lush inner ears, Red Knit Polyester dress with a pink hem, a pink pocket sewn on the right side with a "sun" shaped machine embroidered on.  Pink Knit Polyester sweater  with three purple machine embroidered buttons.  All of the clothing is un-removable.  She wears a corresponding red head band with a pink flower on it , which has an orange center.  Measures 18 inches long and sells for $35.95 plus tax.

Nickelodeon. From the T.V. show Peter Rabbit.  This is Peter Rabbit. A cinnamon colored Polyester plush fur,  machine embroidered eyes, mouth and nose, and on the left foot a dark chocolate colored circle with a  tan colored "turnip" looking shape in the inside circle.  "Velour" like lush inner ears, blue Polyester jacket with three embroidered buttons, two small pockets.  Jacket is sewn on.  Peter is carrying an olive green messenger bag (that is also sewn on), the bag has a Velcro closure.  Peter measures 19 inches long and sells for $35.95 plus tax.

Teddy bear Peter.  #673863.  Limited to 1,500 pieces and this bear is 402 Crème colored under based plush fur with a dark brown color tipping.  Five joints, hand embroidered nose, Green wool vest with a white and yellow machine embroidered daisy, white top stitching as well.  Brown Wool "velour" pants with a golden yellow corded belt.  Dark brown Wool felt hat with matching gold cord that is sewn to Peter's head.  Peter measures 6 inches long and sells for $170.00 plus tax.

Mini Teddy Bear w/champagne bottle, #28908.  Russet colored plush fur with crème colored muzzle and inner ears.  Plush is 53% Mohair, 47% Cotton.  Hand embroidered nose, crème colored Satin Ribbon, Wool felt champagne bottle, five joints. 3.5 inches long.  Price $78.00 plus tax.

  

 

Humming Along #682865.  Limited to 1,500 pieces and this piece is 246.  The collector pieces new tags say "Collectors" on the tag.  Sand colored plush that is 57% Mohair and 43% Cotton.  Five joints, hand embroidered nose, tan colored Wool Felt paw pads, and a rose colored Gossamer ribbon tied around his neck.  Sitting on his shoulder is the most adorable humming bird.  White Mohair plush that is airbrushed green, red and dark brown.  The bird has yellow Wool Felt wings and tail that have brown "feather" highlights and green tipped highlights that are airbrushed on and has a plastic beak.  he bear measures 11.5 inches long while the humming bird measures 2.5 inches high and 3 inches long.  Humming Along sells for $298.00 plus tax

Teddy Bear 1912, Black Label (Exact replica) New black and white tag that says "Replica.  1000 pieces and this delightful bear is 163.  Ebony colored plush fur that is 47% Mohair an 53% Cotton.  Five joints, tan Wool Felt paw pads. shoe button eyes, excelsior stuffing, brawn stitched claws on feet and arms, hand embroidered nose, and has a GROWLER!  Price $345.00 plus tax. Crème colored under plush with a dark brown colored tipping throughout.  Plush is 49% Mohair and 51% Cotton.  Five joints, hand embroidered nose, crème colored Wool Felt paw pads.  Heidi wears a "Linen" like that has white Cotton sleeves.  The dress has a machine embroidered daisy on it and Heidi has an accompanying Wool Felt daisy on her head.  Heidi measures 6 inches long and sells for $170 plus tax.

Teddy bear Jack #664342.  Limited edition of 2,000.  This bear is 554.  Tan colored plush fur that is 7% Mohair and 53% Cotton.  Five joints, hand embroidered nose, and Wool Felt paw pads.  Peter wears a blue Cotton bib overall with a red embroidered flower-ish styled logo on the pocket, it has two white plastic buttons.  Overalls are non-removable.  He also wears a yellow and white striped neckerchief.  Peter carries a wood pail with a tan colored rope handle.  Peter measures 6 inches long and sells for $170.00 plus tax.

Mimmi Cat #0099434.  Sand colored plush with an orangey/rusty marking throughout, white plush muzzle and "socks" on the feet.  Green eyes, tan colored inner ears, plush is 80% acrylic and 20% polyester.  Measures 11.5 inches long (which includes measuring the tail), and 6 inches high.  Mimmi's mouse is a grey plush fur with Wool Felt ears, a "rope-style" tail and is attached  to a "bracelet style" cuff that is attached to Mimmi.  Mimmi is priced at $39.95 plus tax.

Lady bug #032790.  Red and black plush fur that is 53% Mohair and 47% Cotton.  Black "head/upper body" with black "shoestring style" antennae with a knot at the end of them.  The red lower body has airbrushed black spots and the center line done the back indicating wings.  The lady bug has 6 Wool Felt legs.  Measures 3 inches long and 3.5 inches wide.  Lady bug sells for $54.00 plus tax. 

Teddy Bear with heart #028915.  Pink plush that is 53% Mohair and 47% Cotton.  Five joints, hand embroidered nose, pink Satin nose, crème colored muzzle and inner ears.  This delightful little bear holds a red glittery Wool Felt heart.  3.5 inches tall and sells for $78.00 plus tax.

Sissi Piggy #07898.  This delightful little piggy is just to darn cute for words.  Her pink color plush is 85% Acrylic and 15% Cotton.  Her ears, snout and curly tail are a deeper shade of pink that I would call "pale salmon".  Embroidered mouth, airbrushed foot, snout, ear tips, and top of head.  Sissi measures 6 inches long and 4.5 inches high, and sells for $24.95 plus tax.
