Barn Owls invade Keillor's

I'm sure so many of us are familiar with the character Hedwig. No, not the current Broadway play staring Neal Patrick Harris but... Harry Potter's Owl.

Hedwig was given to  Harry in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" as an eleventh birthday present by Rubeus Hagrid, who purchases the owl in Diagon Alley at the Eeylops Owl Emporium.

This lovely owl is the "odd-ball" in the posting as he is a Steiff. His name is "Wittie".  He is made out of 53% mohair and 47% cotton.  He measures only 4 1/2 inches high --- which makes him the shortest owl in the group. 

He has airbrushed highlights, plastic child-safety eyes. Black fur highlights that make-up his "horns".  A paper Steiff tag sewn into his chest, the yellow "play-line" Steiff tag.  He's priced at $99.00 plus tax. A true collectors item, if you love owls or Steiff.
